Business Development Executive

QUALIFICATIONS
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills are required
- Proficiency in the Chinese language is a plus
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree on Business Management, Marketing or equivalent
- Experience as Assistant Manager/Manager specialized in Marketing/Business Development or equivalent is preferred
- Proficiency in computer and other productivity tools
- Strong sense of responsibility; ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Client oriented, strong interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude dealing with people
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong team player who can manage multiple stakeholders
- Adept at creating content that will effectively engage audiences.
- Must have an innovative mind in knowing what the client needs to be able to create solutions addressing those needs.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Business Development Executive, you will take charge in identifying beneficial business opportunities and partnerships, initiating communications with these stakeholders, and establishing a broader ecosystem for the company within old and new markets.
You will also act as a POC for customers, performing customer activities as well as supporting marketing strategies and initiatives to better serve them.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To perform sales calls or visits, promote and sell company services (i.e. sea/air freight, customs clearance, trucking, etc.) to potential clients and update existing clients on latest developments
- Build market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships
- Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements and screen potential business deals by doing these initiatives.
- Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new ventures with company strategies and operations
- Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations
- Monitor competitors’ activities and pricing structures through periodicals, business updates, and clients’ feedback to protect company’s market share and identify areas where the company can enhance better quality service
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
- Maintain accurate, current and complete customer and sales data and update regularly
- Participate in development and implement rates and tariffs, and ensure that rates quoted and submitted for bidding to clients are competitive yet profitable in order to close the sale
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation such as manuals and training materials
